EXHIBIT CATEGORIES

1. PAINTING: oil, alkyd; acrylic; transparent or opaque watercolor or any aqua media.
2. DRAWING: pastel; charcoal; graphite; colored pencil; scratchboard; ink.
3. PHOTOGRAPHY: film or digital with or withoutstandard enhancements; film or digitally altered, digitally manipulated images.
4. DIGITAL ART: Using digital technology that imitates any or all of the above categories. May include photo, painting and drawing manipulation.
5. THREE-DIMENSIONAL: carving and sculptures created in any durable material.
6. MIXED MEDIA and OTHER: any combination of media or artwork not covered in above categories.


✓ ALL LANDSCAPES must have a specific identifiable wildlife (animal or plant) subject in them.

ALL SUBJECTS – zoological or botanical, must be WILD.

No domestic animals, plants, birds or fish will be accepted.

✓ Man-made objects, structures, or domestic garden plants may not appear in the art piece, unless found in the subject’s natural habitat

New Member

A member exhibiting for the first time.

Regular Member A Member for more than one year.
Signature Member

The Indiana Wildlife Artists organization recognizes outstanding members by honoring them with with this award designated by the "IWA" behind their name.
Any member of IWA may present a nomination of another member for the Board's review with a synopsis of the member's accomplishments. If approved, an award is presented at the next Annual Meeting.

The critiria for Signature Membership includes the following:
  • Producing award wining works of Wildlife Art
  • Held an office at Board level
  • Volunteered signficant services to IWA or a Wildlife Conservation Organization
  • Accepts the Aims, Focus, and Mission of IWA


JUDGING

The Judging Panel consists of two judges who are recognized for their expertise in that category:

FINE ARTS JUDGE and NATURALIST JUDGE

• All work will be judged for quality of artistic presentation and appropriate depiction of both wildlife and habitat. Both judges will agree on recipients of major awards.

• At the judges’ discretion, ribbons and cash awards will be awarded for First, Second and Third Place in each category. The judges may also award up to two Honorable Mention ribbons in each category.

• Presentation of awards will take place at the

RECEPTION AND AWARDS CEREMONY
August 22, 2020. 3:30-5:00 p.m.

The judges will be introduced at a later date.
